This is a shot from about a year ago on a weekend away in Dunsborough. I went out onto the beach at Eagle bay to have a little wander around when suddenly this rainbow appeared. My camera was still in the car about 300 meters away so I scurried back to get it. The soft sand and rain didnt help my running efforts at all. I managed to run, get the camera, and set up quickly for this shot just as the rainbow was disappearing. I was knackered!
Although I missed out on the rainbow in all its glory as it stretched across the whole bay, I am pleased that the run was reasonably worth while.

other than that great shot!
im trying to find some faults so i can crit it - but i cant see any - its unbelievable.
the sand is so smooth - not a ripple in it. a great platform for the rusty boat. i love the way the lines from the boat, and the rope come together right at the bottom of the rainbow. the colour of the sea is like nothing ive ever seen before.... everything looks so flat and calm - the sand, the empty boat and the sea.... then you get to that monster of a cloud.... and the rain below it - it gives the impression the storm is drifting away out into the distance leaving this paradise behind.... then we get the rainbow - amazingly vivid - and i love the line where it stops as soon as it reaches the horizon - like its been chopped with a knife!
tremendous work - should be a dd!
