This is a shot from about a year ago on a weekend away in Dunsborough. I went out onto the beach at Eagle bay to have a little wander around when suddenly this rainbow appeared. My camera was still in the car about 300 meters away so I scurried back to get it. The soft sand and rain didn’t help my running efforts at all. I managed to run, get the camera, and set up quickly for this shot just as the rainbow was disappearing. I was knackered!

Although I missed out on the rainbow in all its glory as it stretched across the whole bay, I am pleased that the run was reasonably worth while.

Awesome shot but needs more color!

More color? No way, not on my monitor. I find images are often too over saturated. I achieved the mood I wanted in the image by having it slightly desaturated. I appreciate the feedback though. :)

Is your monitor properly calibrated?

The colors look just right to me. Bright rainbow popping out from the rainy grey waterscape. Good composition - almost like the rainbow is the edge of an imaginary sail over the boat :D

Yeah, I calibrate it regularly. Colours are fine on my computer. Thanks Rata. :)

Guess the other screens aren't calibrated then. Or they just prefer more saturation ;]

Unfortunately my notebook screen is uncalibratible :/
